i feel a strong desire to dedicate a full blog entry to my trip to thailand. but it's been so long n full of activities i dunno where to start!! (pics will be uploaded to friendster SOON!)
ok lemme begin with the best 3 activites.

1) Snorkelling at Phi Phi Island i.e. an island near phuket
This is really cool. For a whole day, from morning to evening, abt 20 or so tourists (including family n me), we take a speed boat to various islands around Phuket. At each destination, we're given time to snorkel n swim, usually at bays, but at the last two stops, we relaxed at beaches.
The waters are superb, clear and cool.
Phi Phi Island actually includes several small islands n bays, e.g. James Bond Island (there was a particular 007 movie with this island as background, so they named it James Bond Island!), but the main island itself is where the tsunami hit, n when we went there, the destruction is still visible.
Construction was still ongoing, and the number of tourists is not very significant. Sad case. but it's a beautiful place nevertheless.
Anyway.
The snorkelling part was kindda disgusting at first, coz we didnt learn how to use that mask n tube thingy, so we had to fumble around in the water (abt 3m deep?), choking with sickeningly salty seawater while the schools of fishies swam around us.
I got so sick with gulping down seawater that i had to stop after a few mins after the first attempt, n i never went into the sea again for the rest of the day. Wasted. I know. Im feeling a little sorry for myself now.
It's a wonderful feeling, being in the deep blue sea with all those little fishes so close to ur face. But i wasted this possibly once in a lifetime chance. Ahh well. My real dream is to go DIVING.
Anyway.
After my first few mins of failed snorkelling, i was feeling so ill that i had sea sick for the rest of the trip. the jerkin of the boat was juz so horrible. I swear i nearly puked.
Urggh.
But it was a new experience anyway. And i highly recommend it to everyone who vists Phuket in future ^.^

2) Water Parachuting
i dunno wads the actual name for this activity, but basically, u r attached to a parachute n then a long strong rope is attached from ur parachute jacket to a speed boat. the boat speeds along the sea, dragging u in the sky behind it, like a kite. occassionally, when the boat turns n the rope slackens, u will dip down into the sea, then when the rope tightens again, u go up into the sky! it's plenty fun, especially for ppl like me who wanna fly :)
Oh, juz for info, this water parachuting activity takes place on the way to Coral Island, an island near Pattaya, a seaside town.

3) Phuket Fantasea.
This is the main attraction of Phuket, it's kindda like a fun fair, with game stalls n dance shows. It's pretty exciting n i bought some nice stuffs there. n i won a stufftoy!! i call it Bai Chi, coz it looks really silly n cute.
Ok nvm out of pt.
Anyway, i was thinkin i wouldnt mind performing at fun fairs like Fanatasea, they dance hip hop n jazzfunk too.
Hmm...
Oh the main highlight was the show at the Palace of Elephants. it's a winner for some tourism award thingy, n the best show in thailand. it's really cultural n u need to be really into culture to understand it. Most ppl got bored somewhere in the middle coz it seemed kindda random n pointless. But the show was vibrant n awesome.

wad else?
ohh yea. i went to this cabaret show in bangkok, n it's claimed to be the best show in Asia. but i think it's crap.
The performers are basically males who underwent sex operation n emerged as ladies. i dont deny some of them look really good, but others obviously look likie a bad experiment gone wrong. im not tryin to be mean, but they were really crude.
tell u why.
first, males r not made to be females. obvious right. n so naturally they dont have the grace of women. it's juz sick watchin them tryin to act feminine, n end up being flirtateous n unglamourous.
the main dancers were gd, i mean really gd. u so cant tell they used to be men. but the backup dancers... haixx... it's juz plain sadness.
i dont see why they went for sex operation, but wadeva reason, it's not worth it. now they're makin use of their bodies n fake looks to earn money. n for wad?? r they seriously happy doin this? if yes, i have nth more to say.
I was kindda depressed, sitting there n watchin them frolic n shake on stage. poor things. they couldn't even wear their bras properly.
no kiddin.
even the main dancers were like yanking up their tube dresses while singing, n one or two didn't even know their nipples were showing. n most of them were strugglin with 3 inch heels.
sigh...
why cant ppl accept themselves for who they are?!
why change sex??!!
i felt angry n sad for those dancers. but they might be happy like this, i dont know.
worst thing was, at the end of the show when all the girls came out to say bye, one of them actually lifted up her (or shld i say his?) soft baby pink dress, n guess wad...
she wasnt wearing anything below.
so basically, the audience so everything.
im telling u, sex operation is gettin so advanced now. the males can have pubic hair down there after operation. it looks unnatural, but it's there anyway.
and it's SICK.
seriously.
Im disgusted with some human minds.
I think im goin to shut up for now. this topic is gettin depressing.
oh, n might i add that some of the male backup dancers (REAL males) r really cute? especially this korean lookin guy. gosh i wasnt even lookin at the so-called female dancers.
*giggles n blushes*
ok...
shutting down... ...
