went for yf outing today. was quite fun, especially on the bus. we laughed like nobody's business and talked abt EVERYTHING under the sun(: honestly, i used to be like really lonely on the bus when travelling in large grps, but today i felt so LOVED and ACCEPTED ^0^ ok im behaving like someone who seriously lacks security and has zero self confidence, but im really sick of being left alone in one corner. so im really thankful to the girls who chatted with me on the bus. ohh, but im worried we might have left some ppl out, it always happens! :(
anyway, when we arrived at east coast park, it was V.LATE ok. like, around 1pm? and we left the church at 12am.? so after lunch and all that dilly dally, we finally rented bikes and blades at around 1.30pm. it was darn expensive lah, the blades. $10 per hr. with NO CASHBACK. and the other rental shop rents blades at $6 for 2hrs!! but we didnt know that until after the outing ended. so anyway, me, coco and jamie went blading, tryin to catch up with minnie and gang, who were cycling as though they had never been free. they were FAST lar. ok, maybe we were slow. but point is, becoz we went slow, we actually spotted this filming crew filming for the next episode of Hey Hey Taxi~~ and we saw kim (zhong qing), that superhost guy, and CHEN XI from star idol. he's just as cute in person as on tv ^^) (and according to my fren, when we were eating at Mac, belinda and li teng were just outside, filming for the same show too! but i missed them. booo.)
so then we continued blading (me and jamie reluctantly. coco wasnt the slightest excited, coz she has met such high profile ppl before. lucky her!), and we were quite miffed when those pros kept whizzing past us on their blades, and they were so fast you can literally hear the
whoosh whoosh sound of the wheels. i tried to console myself by adding my own sound effects, so i said "whooshhhh... whooosh!!" while the pros disappeared into the distance -__________- and guess wad. just as we reached the jetty, it started drizzling, and omg, it was drama larr.
when i looked out at the sea, i could see all those big ships super clearly, budden somewhere ahead of us, the open sea was blurry and misty, like a huge thunderstorm was approaching. and true enough, it started drizzling, and everyone was like, wahhhhh!!! go back go back!!! best thing is, the sun was still shining and everything. eewww. rain in the sun. not my idea of a fab outing. so the three of us tried to race against the rain, coz it was catching up on us. but coco's feet started to hurt, so we stopped so she could take off her blades and she ran barefooted all the way back while we skated. three woots for coco!! i was commenting that she looked like some lady in damsel, heart broken and running in the rain. then i started narrating a storyline for an MV.
"she was broken hearted and tears poured down her face as it rained. then, she fell to the ground. too tired to continue running, she sat there and cried. suddenly, an umbrella appeared over her head and she looked up to see..."
"wahh jenny u're very imaginative hor."
heh. -.-" yea i got kindda carried away, but honestly, coco looked like she was shooting a MV or sth, running in the rain, carrying her blades. hah! anywayyyy... i shant comment further on wad happened the rest of the day, coz THE RAIN RUINED EVERYTHING. it ruined my spirits, it ruined my happy outing, and it wasted the money i paid for the blades. coz we couldnt continue skating. i was in such a sucky mood that i think everyone got the impression i had just gone for the most crummy outing EVER. but nonono. thats not true. i had fun on the bus, and meeting the celebs was incredible. oh, and of coz, chatting with coco abt her dreams and life was really inspiring and my fav kind of interaction ^-^ apparently, we are experiencing the same kindda of probs in life and facing the same career crisis (havin dreams but unable to pursue them).
so minnie, i just wanna say once again, that im sry if i appeared ratty and sian when yf parted. the outing WASNT a flop k. it was really good considering it's your first time organising an event like this(: so thanks for everything!
i really enjoyed church today, especially pastor li's sermon on what a good father is all abt. i shant say much here, but basically, there are 3 type of fathers: Lazy, busy, and wise. A wise father will not just point out and complain the shortcomings and mistakes of his children. A wise father will not blame his wife for any problem with the kids. A wise father will take time off to listen to his kiddos. becoz for them to listen to him and obey, he himself must first listen to what they have to say. this is called two way communication! And most imptly, a wise father will tell his children to love God more than anything else ^.^
and im proud to announce that my daddy is typeC, and he has been doing everything the pastor mentioned to be a good father. so to my dear daddy, i'll just like to say, thank you for being an earthly father that is pleasing to God's eyes, and I LOVE YOU!(:
