", the world is a bad bad place.?"

my babysitting job interview was screwed.
mum went with me and basically lost it when i told her my job would require me to spend the night at michelle hall's hse on fri/sat nights. (the employer).

so she insisted on talking to the woman...
blahblahblah.
in a nutshell, mum made me out to be a dependent, unexperienced daddy's girl who cant leave home for too long.

so yea.
she blew it.
not me.

but it's alright.
i was annoyed for an hr or so.
but since today is her bday, and i know she was only concerned for me (too concerned, maybe, but still), i shall forget abt this whole thing.

i'll just look harder for another part time job.
and who knows, maybe mich STILL wants to hire me after that drama episode ^_^

ok funny highlight of the day!!

the family went to a chinese restuarant to have dinner to celebrate mum's bday.
jamie and i finished eating and were bored so went outside to take pics.

we looked up and saw the starry night sky and got excited.
in sg we never got to see a clear night sky with twinkle twinkle little stars.
so u can imagine how thrilled we were by the idea of capturing the beautiful scene with our camera!

so i held up the camera to the sky, zoomed in to the max...
then jamie held up her hand in front and the camera screen went blank.

so i said, "move away ur hand!! i cant see anything!!"

i waited for a few seconds.
the screen remained blank.

"I SAID MOVE AWAY YOUR HAND!!"

"i have!"

i looked away from the screen.
jamie was standing a metre away from me, staring at me in a puzzled way.

"oh."

apparently the sky was waaay too dark and whatever for the cam to capture anything.
