ok anyway,

in case TP is fuming coz i havent yet send her the promised scanned images of my design work, here they are for everyone to see.

i spent a long time figuring out to get the scanner to work and in some cases, i had to scan 2 files and use photoshop to join them into one picture coz my design sketch book is A3, and my scanner can only can max A4 images.

plus i had to resize every other image with photoshop.

it's called the Circle, Sqaure, Triangle Problem.

we were given loads of such shapes and using them we have to add other elements to the basic shapes such that we got rather complex pictures such as these:

(yea the tchr assigns us work in non-chronological order)

for this one we had to choose 3 themes from a given list.

for each theme we choose, we have to draw 4 black and white designs using the concept of postivie and negative spaces.

and then from each grp of 4, we pick out the best one and enlarge it.

yes ENLARGE.

i had to painstakingly measure every inch and enlarge it.

haii.

oh btw the 3 themes i chose were Light, Nature and Computer respectively.

assignment 2.4

(from here onwards no grading coz tchr hasnt taken it back to grade)

this one eh...

it's basically a loooong one which went on for wks.

it comes in stages so everyone was like pia-ing the first stage for a wk.

then after we were done and feeling pleased, tchr walks in and says, "rightie oh, let's go on with STAGE TWO. by MONDAY."

IDEAS AND DEVELOPMENT.

we had to draw mind map and think of all the silhouetted objects related to the chosen theme.

in my case, it was TRAVEL.

using the images drawn, select one to be the general shape and fill it up with silhouettes of smaller images related to the theme.

do this for two different themes.

in my case, TRAVEL and NATURE.

STAGE 3 (linear drawing):

select one theme and one image related to it.

fill it up with linear drawings of other stuffs related to it.

i chose TRAVEL.

as usual, the sides are chopped off.

but u can still see it's a plane.

right?

anyway the wings are my main focus.

i didnt know stick figures can look so awesome on linear drawings(:

oh the end of the plane is actually a boat and a train.

i love the boat.

but u cant see it properly.

hahh!

i spent a darn long time doing the stupid ballerina.

but the scanned image sucks.

u cant actually see her feet properly so she just looks like some weird, sharp, unproportional THING.

assignment 2.2 (logo designing):

another super long assignment.

currently working on it.

select a given theme (i picked ANIMATION) and do two A3 pages of pencil sketching of related objects.

i did pencil, pen and the computer mouse.

unfortunately time has run out for me so i'll upload the sketchings of the mouse next time.

also stage 2, in which i have to do 20 black and white logo designs.

i've only done one so far.

haii sad.

and omg.

the scanned image doesnt do my drawings justice!!

my sketching of the pencil looks better than that ><

i drew in all that detail below the rubber part and it looked better than what u see here on the screen >~<
