hello old hardworking jenny.
good luck to me trying to get a scholarship(:
i know i've lost sight and focus on my (or God's) original dreams and goals for a while in term2,
but now i'm back on track and as far as i can see, nothing is gonna stop me from getting to where i (or God) want to get to.
i have good friends and a supportive family.
i will survive~
p.s i just finished The Five People You Meet In Heaven.
it's awesome, love it!
if only heaven really is like that eh,
like i have a pretty good idea of whats going on in my life,
but there are still some stuffs i would like to make more sense of,
such as why some things happen, or dont.
and why ppl do things, or dont.
hmm i was having fun that day trying to guess,
if there are really five ppl im gonna meet in heaven,
who would they be?
who would i wish to meet?
my life hasnt been so sad
such that it is filled with death and despair,
so right now i can only think of one person
i'll like to meet in heaven,
even though i know we will all meet there one day.
Grandpa;
i wish to apologise for my bratty behaviour to him when i was still really young,
and i want to ask him how it feels like to suffer and die a slow painful death,
it was probably cancer?
we can guess abt life,but we will never know.

", not just about you anymore."monday was hilarious.
vic and i got the course date wrong,
so early at 8.30am when we got to Natcoll
(this techonolgy polytechnic where the Digital Photography course is held),
we were told that the course starts only on tues ><"
wahha so we decided since we are already in town,
we might as well source around for a place to rent a video cam for the filming of our media arts film.
but before that we went to have macdonald breakfast
(yesss my fav~)
and sat there chatting for ages before we got going.
circled the inside out of the city centre for ages,
and we had no luck with a video cam.
BUT ooh check this,
we found this really awesome store called Manna,
which sells fantastic Christian stuffs ranging from CDs to books.
I actually bought presents for the twins,
a book with quotes and verses for teen guys,
and a soothing meditation CD with nice worship songs~
and then i got amusing cards to go with those(:
then, we chanced upon a fund raising carnival or sth,
and i bought this sweet unicorn plush toy for Joyce's bday next mth.
oh and i bought contact lens solution for myself,
coz according to a newspaper report in hong kong,
the one im currently using (Amo Complete Moisture),
contains worm-like bacteria that can cause blindness
if used over long period of time.
eeek ><"
finally, we came to this ANCIENT book store
with piles of books from the 70s and 80s.
i mean seriously, those books are OLD and kindda funky(:
the store itself looks and smells old,
and they had this ladder that reached up to the higher shelves.
its like those stores in the old movies,
oh kindda like the wand store in harry potter! XD
it's so cool k,
we spent ages in there just soaking up the vibe of old knowledge,
and it felt amazing.
like going back in time :D
hmm yea so basically four hours later i was loaded with shopping bags
and we made our way to the university,
where i was told i can borrow video cam.
vic went home and i stopped by the univ to get the cam.
didn't take long to find that loan place.
thankfully they are willing to lend me on the account my dad is a staff there.
but first i needed my dad's signature for the form.
so i went up to his office but he wasn't in.
waited around eating sultana chocs
and he came back abt half an hr later.
got him to sign the paper,
used the Internet for a quick email reply to lynn,
then went back to the store to hand in the paper.
they told me to return at 3 to collect the cam,
IF they have one available for me.
returned to the office,
Internet again,
then went to get cam but realised i need to buy a tape for it.
went back to office to get money,
and went down to get cam and tape.
so finally, at close to 4pm,
i got the cam~ = ="
but then i also received a txt from bart.
he was bored at home so he asked if i wanna join his friends for a drink or sth.
i said ok, told my dad where i was going,
then met bart and his friends then we drove to town.
so sian... didn't want to go back to town..
just walked for 4hrs there la~
but then it's three against one,
so i went,
and they didn't even tell me where we were going = =
we ended up in a popular hang out called Q-World,
where ppl go and play pool.
i admit i was a little worried what sort of ppl will be there..
i mean, pool?
come on...
isnt that a game played by bored drunk ppl in pubs?
but my biased opinion against pool was proved wrong.
the place turned out to be pretty decent and clean with good music playing.
it was full of pool tables where ppl just book by the hr and play with their friends, chatting and playing friendly games.
no pub XD
i even met agnis there by sheer coincidence! ^-^
so bart taught me how to play pool,
like how to put my left hand on the table so it becomes a support for the pole,
then right hand hold the pole.
and there's a 3point rule - hand, head, chest,
and to make a good straight shot,
one has to get down low by making sure all 3 points of the body are along and touching the pole.
then there's the stripe and colour rule,
where one party chooses a type of ball - stripes or coloured.
and for the rest of the game he/she can only hit that type of ball.
blahblahblah.
didn't really get the whole idea,
but i know the gist enough to have a good time.
was fun la~
i could actually hit the balls,
just couldn't really get them in XD
then watched bart and his friend winston play a proper game.
darn pro!!
his other friend, sharon, and i played a game too.
hehh we couldn't get any ball in
so eventually we let the boys finish the game for us :P
after that winston sent everyone home.
haha coincidentally we're all malayasians/singaporeans,
so it felt nice and homey around them.
then ytd was the first day of the course.
really awesome!
went into a proper studio to shoot some photos,
learnt to operate a digi cam,
like adjust the white balance, aperture, shuttle and film speed etc
to achieve the best results with photos.
then after that vic and i met up with johnny to start on our media filming.
wasn't too bad except we didn't have a tripod stand so a lot of shots we can't actually shoot properly.
went home at about 5pm.
today we bring in an object from home we want to advertise
and learn how to use photoshop to beautify people,
like make the wrinkles disappear,
whiten the teeth etc etc.
but arrghhh i can't keep up!!
the tchr is going tooo fast~
and later in the aftnn we're going back into the studio to shoot the object we brought.
tmr we are models for each other and shooting our friends in the studio,
then we heading out into the city to shoot some buildings/scences to set as the background.
finally on friday we putting all 3 elements together using photoshop layering and other tools to create an advertisement for the product.
pretty cool actually XD
ohyea in case u haven't already guessed,
im in the Natcoll comp lab now using the comp here,
it's break time now(:
lesson will commence in 15mins.
gonna continue filming later today after class at 3pm,
and we are aiming to finish filming by tmr
coz the cam needs to be returned on friday.
gahh so busy..
haven't touched homework yet ><"
term 3 starting next wk..
think it'll be super hectic.
gotta do sound and music recording for the film,
editing the shots and putting in the credits.
then there's design portfolio which will be a mad rush and huge project,
will take up the entire term 3 and might carry into term 4.
and of course there's all the tests and exams that are coming up.
whoo i've decided to forget abt getting a part time job this yr.
i'll start working next yr after i quit the sch badminton team.
then i'll be able to save some money and go travel!! ^0^
k i promise i'll update abt my bday party last wk soon!
im typing it out in Word first at home,
then saving it in USB and bringing it here to post.
