', the tears that don't fall.'

it's funny how things work.
recently i've been thinking abt doing the SAT and ACT tests.
for those who don't know,
they are tests take in US and, well, they're just a big deal basically.
i suppose if one does well in those tests,
they have sth to show the top colleges.

but anyway,
dad and i decided the education system here in nz is crap.
they say its internationally recognised,
but its not really.

A'levels is what i call internationally recognised.
it's tougher, sure, but better than what we have here.

so dad reckons if i wanna get a fair chance at going to US or england for univ, i gotta do external tests like SAT and ACT that are widely done all over the world.
its like a standard kind of testing or sth.

funnily enough,
ytd i talked to dd on msn and i asked her abt the tests and US colleges.
i must say,
that talk with her sparked my old dream of going to the states for univ.
(well to be honest,
my first dream was to go to Cambridge,
but mehh,
they dont do media and design)

immediately after the msn conv. with dd ended,
i googled SAT and ACT.
for the rest of that day,
i was downloading and reading,
surfing and checking.

By midnight, after almost exactly 12 hrs,
i had registered online for a SAT and ACT test,
on 1st Dec and 8th Dec respectively.

yea kindda hasty it seems,
but i realised time was running short if i want to aim for college in oct next yr.
the tests have scheduled dates and its not very often.
dad figured if i dont do well in the dec tests,
then i can still have a shot in jan or march next yr.

im quite excited abt the tests actually, though nervous too.
the family is planning to fly over to wellington with me for the ACT test,
coz the ACT doesnt have a test centre here in christchurch.

we'll be there for the weekend, then flying back before monday coz its not the summer holidays yet ><"

heyy dd,
this does not mean im going to US for college yea? XD
im just trying my luck,
but thanks for the talk ytd,
it gave me a good boost of confidence~

i feel kindda bad for telling u all those stuffs ytd,
spoilt ur dream of everyone meeting up one day..
i hope u dont give up on that dream,
i for one really wish to see everyone again,
just to see how much we've all changed,
even if we cannot be like how we were in the past.

yepp i think thats abt all the time i have for now to update!

havent really got anything interesting to say,
not that life is boring.
im really happy now,
a smooth creamy sort of bliss.
the bliss of every day life.

im learning, im growing, im changing.
for the better.
thats all that matters i suppose.

in case u're worried,
no im not changing into a western airhead bimbo(:
im still a nerd,
and i still read the bible.

i have changed in the sense that i am more...
at peace with everything around me?
i used to hate lunching alone,
but now im alone every lunch,
not becoz i havent got anyone to hang out with,
but becoz i choose to be.

and im perfectly happy this way,
surprising yes.
i never thought i would change into someone like this.
its nothing bad i guess?

i suppose its a cultural difference.
the chinese here are all sugar and glitters,
while the kiwis are all going effs and bfs.
i belong in neither groups.
but im fine with it,
im not being outcasted,
neither am i excluding ppl in my life.

its all good(:
